KICKOFF PARTY AND VAN LIFE RALLY
Gather at the Carbondale Rec Center to kick-off the weekend with food from Slow Groovin’ BBQ and beer from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Enjoy an “open house” of livable vehicles at our Van Life Rally along Colorado Ave and get stoked with our special guests for a great weekend ahead! Lawn games and special cornhole shootout with FITS Sock co. Live music by Big Dog and the Midnight Badgers.

FILM PROGRAM I
Begin the adventure with a selection of short films as we set the tone for an inspiring weekend. Films range from awe inspiring mountain biking, a special Father/Daughter adventure connection, to raw and gritty desert climbing, dreams of skiing deep POW, and amazing never before seen footage from around the world.

Lawn games and special cornhole shootout with FITS Sock co. For the over 21 crowd, beer from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co will be available for purchase. Special Guest ‘Baybe Champ’ Aloha Mountain Cyclery and CCAH will be helping kids decorate their bikes during the picnic for Carbondale’s first Scraper Bike Ride, leaving the Carbondale Community Rec Center at 2pm.

A two pack of great films featuring 5point veteran Jeremy Collins’ four year project DRAWN and Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia. This program is of two amazing stories with two very special guests. Jeremy Collins and Jeff Lowe will be in attendance. Special book signing with Jeremy Collins in the lobby following the program.

THE HEAD AND HEART OF STORYTELLING
From 1 x 1 Instagram photos to full-length feature films, stories remain central to the human experience. How do they get from “just an idea” to affecting audiences? Writers Brendan Leonard (Semi-Rad.com) and Hilary Oliver (TheGription.com) will lead a panel discussion with filmmakers, photographers, writers, and other creatives on the inspiration, process, and dirty work of telling good stories, from film festivals to podcasts to blog entries.

Brought to you by Aspen Valley Land Trust. Hang out with our special guests and filmmakers for one last time! Team 5Point and Aspen Valley Land Trust will be serving it up from 12-2pm for a $10 donation to the 5Point Film Fund. Refresh with some free Skratch Labs and free coffee from Bonfire Coffee will be provided during the Camp Stove Coffee clinic. PARTICIPATE and learn the basics of brewing in the field or just be the judge and let us know which method you like the best; be it Aeropress, Moka pots, French press or pour over.

Jeremy Collins and Wade Newsom will be present to sign and sell copies of their most recent releases. Jeremy’s book DRAWN will be hot off the presses and showcases art from the film project and his sketchbook. Wade’s book Poetic Notions is the first publishing of a soulful collection of Wades best work. Doug Woodward will also be on hand with his title, Wherever Waters Flow.
