Welcome to the 16th Annual 5Point Adventure Film Festival! Join us from April 19-23 for our signature adventure film programming as well as a 5K race, live music, comedy, panel discussions, podcasts and late-night parties.
We’re excited to announce the first annual 5Point 5K fun run! Come out and run with filmmakers, special guests, and the Carbondale community at 8:00 am on Saturday, April 22. All are welcome! Event details and registration.
For the first time ever, we’re complementing our film programming with a free music series from 4:00 pm at the Carbondale Recreation Center on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Come groove to iZCALLi (Thursday), Brothers of Brass (Friday), and a very special performance from local yacht rock legends, The Davenports on Saturday. Did we mention it’s FREE?
Join us on Thursday night from 10:00 pm for Late Night Laughs – our first-ever stand-up comedy night. Doing double duty as emcee, Eeland Stribling has recruited some of his funniest friends from Denver for an exclusive late-night performance at the Black Nugget in Carbondale. Featuring: Salma Zaky, Gabby Gutierrez-Reed, and Sammy Anzer.

It was adventure that drew me here. I stumbled upon Carbondale during a year on the road with my dog, Paco. The thing I remember about my first 5Point Adventure Film Festival is holding back tears often — the stories just got me right in the heart. The artwork this year is a representation of that heart and the way that nature fills us up with wonder. Each of the five quadrants depicts a scene where we might interact with the outdoors, loosely correlating to a sequence of the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Space. In my fine art, I work mostly in colored pencils and wood burning, and digitally I do logo design and website work. The 5Point Adventure Film Festival is a gem in our local community amplifying so many talented filmmakers, humans, and heart-changing stories. It’s a total joy and honor to create the artwork for such an excellent celebration of community, artistry, and the way that nature sets our hearts ablaze.
